Company Profile

Story City Building Products is a family owned, 3rd generation, full-service retail lumberyard that has been in operation in Story City, Iowa since 1957. We have experienced front office support with up to 51 years of experience.

We specialize in high quality building materials. Considering price only, and not the quality of the materials can lead to extra cost during construction and excess maintenance problems in the future. Not all building materials are the same quality. We furnish materials to the job site as they are needed instead of one big dump load, which will reduce damage, theft and also construction time!

We offer drafting, technical information/help and a convenient customer delivery schedule.

Our delivery fleet consists of four straight trucks, two pickups and one 26' roll off trailer that can deliver up to 48' I-Joists and one job-site forklift. We try to keep our delivery schedule very flexible and based on your needs!

Our showroom displays several different brands of cabinets, doors, windows, fireplaces, stair parts, and more.
